![]() ![]() No one is pre-judging without reason or proof, which is the meaning of prejudice, because if you look around at the black community you'll see a lot of the community whose hair is natural wear those styles. Indians wear bonnets, Africans wear beads and bone in their hair (some older Africans still do). So why make a big deal? Black people DO wear dreadlocks, and afros, afros especially because those with straight hair, typically white folk, can't make their hair an afro. We all know each race has different styles. I have to say I think this is ridiculous. To simply say that dreads are a black hairstyle is prejudice, for not everyone that has dreadlocks is black. Just as there are no "white" specific hairstyles. ![]() Just because a hairstyle isn't straightened.doesn't mean its "black".Īnd just because a hairstyle is straightened.doesn't mean it isn't "black".Īll I said was that there technically is no "black" specific hairstyles. Its not prejudice, its just saying we need more natural black hairstyles, we don't all straighten out hair and get relaxers  No hair style is particular to one exclusive group. I mean really, I thought we had outgrown this whole prejudice thing? ![]() I always get annoyed whenever someone makes a thread for "Black hairstyles" or "African hairstyles" and end up suggesting dreadlocks or something. There are no "Black" hairstyles, and there are no "White" hairstyles. Just sayin, I always get tired of seeing threads like these. ![]()
